Imagine, if you can, that every time you burned a votive, it burned completely away. No more scraping, micro waving, or putting it in the freezer to get the left over wax out. Think again that if the left over wax equals about a fourth of the candle, then for every four votives you buy you may as well have been throwing one out the window on the drive home.
We make all our votive holders so that they will burn your candles completely away. Left over wax is due to the holder being bigger than the candle. When the candle liquefies, it takes the shape of the holder. The wick is made to burn to edges of the original form and cannot burn that far and leaves the wax! We wheel throw each pottery votive holder to fit snugly, not allowing the wax to get outside
FYI: When burning candles in our votive holders, you must keep the holder FREE of debris. This includes but is not limited to: multiple metal tabs, labels, matches, charcoal balls, and any other foreign object. After burning a votive, remove the metal tab and clean the holder out. If you just keep adding votives and dropping matches, all the stuff at the bottom is flammable. When the flame reaches it, the garbage will ignite and catch on fire.
